Window Systems
Overview
SWM offer a range of high performance commercial window systems that achieve U-values less than 2.2W/m2K to meet the very latest thermal insulation standards of the building regulations. Comprising of integral polyamide thermal breaks, the systems include fixed lights, top hung, tilt-turn, pivot (horizontal and vertical) and overswing windows. A full range of mullions and transoms allows for large composite windows to be fabricated.
Glazing
Double Glazing is standard and should be carried out to the recommendation of BS6262. A variety of glazing options are available to maximise thermal and acoustic performance. The various ranges of window sections can accomodate glazing thickness of between 6 and 28mm units. Each pane of glass is individually inserted into a fully rebated and prepared opening, with the glass retained by beads. Wedge gaskets are attached to the inside to give internal beading as standard, improving safety and security. External beading is also an option on casement and overswing configurations.

All SWM window systems are available in a full range of polyester powder or anodised finishes.
- Stoved polyester powder coated in accordance with BS6496, available in a large range of single RAL colours
